You touched counter strafing at 4:40 which is IMO the most important tip.. but in general my best tip is "steer as little as you can and strafe as much as you can" don't make unnecessary direction changes and try to stay on track via strafing ... And mid air steering is only good to line up your craft with the track .. course corrections are best done by strafing

Another tip about jumps - On every jump (above in the center of track) there's an arrow indicating strength and direction of gravity, this could be helpful in moments where you don't feel orientation

Here's a couple more tips:

Frustration is distracting and distraction causes errors: some event wins will seem impossible even after a LOT of practise: Save those until you have fully learned the course to "muscle memory" and use whichever ship works best for you: you'll still need to take occasional LONG breaks to avoid tensing up, banging your head, and rage quitting. clean your greasy joystick pads (IMPORTANT) and use a light touch. If the OST is annoying you, turn t off. And you can remap the controls too, it's well worth experimenting up front to map a mix that's as familiar and comfortable as possible: for example, I use one finger to either boost or to brake, and another finger NEVER need lift off the gas, ever.

Another point is not to try to stick to just one "meta" ship or to one "ideal" loadout: Some tracks favor speed, some favor thrust. some require tight handling where others allow looser control: avoid combinations that fully reduce or maximize any ship asset, as they each affect the others to a large degree: If you can't get a good mix with the ship you're using, try loading out the ship that has the closest mix of starting stats: that should allow you the most loadout options within the points range required by the event.

If you are not able to get through a speed or time trial event with a particular craft, you can save the loadout of the ship that got the high score and you will likely get a better result: after the event, select "show loadouts" and then arrow left from "continue/restart" to highlight the winning loadout: note that the ship mfr. is not saved when you save its loadout, so you might wish to note which ship as well. This is a good way to learn which assets should work best for any track and event that you are struggling with, and help you gain a feel for how they each relate to event conditions and requirements.

Lastly, if you are worried about completing the game, please don't worry! Just have fun, go really fast, and let your Zen. It'll happen.

Thanks for these tips, Tribe. Love your channel and I appreciate what you do. I’m having trouble with the rewind ability on the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Would you have any tips to help me with this? Thanks a lot, Jack.

change the controls to classic as trying to do averything on one joystic is extreamly hard and the game is hard enough and putting the controls on the bumbers gives you greater control.

got a question:

what does it mean when stats in the upgrade system crumble because the stats goes beyond max?

i know the reason but in my opinion crashed stats doesn't affect the ship at all. for me, it looks more like a next level in upgrading despite way lower stats. am i wrong or did i miss something? D:

If there's one thing RedOut ll and F-Zero have in common is that they're both fast and punishing.

BEST SECRET TIP FOR REDOUT 2!

Dont play it!
WIPEOUT
Dont give these copycat, wannabe, rip off artists any money or your valuable time.

It is a poorly designed game that disguises it FLAWS as DIFFICULTY, it is that simple.
Old trick, nothing new.

Wipeout is the O.G. AND does anti-grav racing justice, while Redout is a cheap knock off that copies the THEME of anti-grav racing without understanding ANYTHING ABOUT THE GENRE.

Making it a sad and broken attempt, dont waste your time or money, go with the Wipeout series.

Also... shame on the shills for calling this anything less than a failed cash grab.
