How to Roll Down Window Remotely in your Nissan

My Altima is a 2012 model. I bought it new almost 7 years ago. I didn't know about this option until right now when I searched the internet to find out if there was a recall or any other reason why I found my windows down. Apparently, the buttons got pressed when I had my key fob in my pocket. Ta da! I'm just glad it wasn't raining. That would have been bad.

Totes just tried this on my 2017 Nissan Altima 2.5SL and it works!

Btw, 2 things.

1. You don't need the car to be locked first and you don't have to hit the lock button. Just hit the unlock button twice and hold it the second time.

2. The windows go down as long as you hold the button. If you let go once they start moving they will stop and you'll need to repeat. So if you want them down the whole way, kepp holding. If you want them half way, release once they are half way down. :D


Now if only you had a way to get them back :?

This is a good feature to know because Nissans occasionally have a problem where the remote won't unlock the doors

You should mention this only works on the SR trim. I have a 2020 Versa S and 2021 Versa SV. I asked my dealership and they said on the Versa, Sentra and Altima, this only works on the ones with remote start (full loaded trim level)

You don't need to push the button twice. If your car is locked just press and hold the unlock button and they will still roll down

I installed an aftermarket one. It can roll down, roll up, and even crack the windows slightly open to let air out/in but not open them too much
