Love your instructional style. Where do you teach? What are your thoughts on the efforts to standardize upper/foundational ontologies (e.g., Basic Formal Ontology) to be used across all domains. Do these ontologies risk reinforcing positivism/realism by suggesting there is a single, objective reality upon which a universally accepted ontology framework can be based?

Could you please provide a recommended reading list of your favorite books on the subject of research philosophy? I am interested in how the conceptual frameworks of research philosophy, including ontology, epistemology, methodology, and method, as well as related knowledge organization systems, can be applied to curriculum design in any domain - from elementary school to post-secondary. It seems to me that these fundamental "big ideas", that underly any domain of knowledge, provides a holistic perspective that could help teachers and students with critical analysis and synthesis.
