Watched the movie, read the book. Loved both: I became understanding more about Appalachian people and this part of rural America. About Trump as politician: he is old by age, but young as a politician. He has not spent in Washington 50+years like Biden. The advantage that JD had was that someone believed in him. He had people who encouraged him as he was growing. That is so important especially when your own father has abandoned you. And I'm glad for him.

The comment that the host referenced here of Biden calling someone a lying dog-faced pony soldier was made by Biden directly to my niece at a town hall during the primaries when she asked him a question that he didn’t like. Obviously the man already had dementia at this point to say something so ridiculous to a young college student. She was devastated, embarrassed and upset. Needless to say, she and all our family will forever be Never-Biden-ers.
