This is very helpful. I got the 12 with an extra battery on Amazons black friday sale for $350. It came with a couple extra minor goodies too. I had been buying nearly every gopro up through 8 and needed to upgrade. Your videos go over things in the right amount of detail without being too long. Perfect. Thanks.

I think the 11 is the best one keeping almost all the features besides the Bluetooth connections with the earbuds and keeping the GPS function

For me, the 9 stands out the most. It just looks more vibrant. I have the 9 and was going to upgrade to the 12, but i think I'll wait until the 13 comes out. Hopefully, it will have a 1 inch lens this year.

Very useful comparison. Thank you very much. I think I'll go with the 11 model since it seems to have a great quality and costs much less than the 12. The prices you've shown in the video are pretty different now, a few months later, they are almost double.

I am using the 9 and 11, and the only issue I complain about is if you use them both with the remote. The 11 eleven forces a firmware update for the remote, and in the following, you can start/ stop the recording on Hero 9, but options can't be changed via remote anymore. So if you have both cameras mounted, e.g. on a motorbike and want to change recording options, you have to use the backscreen of Hero 9 whilst Hero 11 can be changed via remote.

You can also use horizon lock with the 9, by enabling the max lens mod even without the mod installed. It crops, but does the same.

Techies may need the latest and greatest. My hero 9 serves me and those who look and watch my videos just fine. Great photos as well.

Thanks for the well laid out comparison, however, you should stress in the chart the 12 has 1/4” tripod socket which I know a lot of people are ax tied about.

This must be one of the best product comparison I've seen...
In what concerns to GoPro cameras, perhaps the only point missing in this video (or that I didn't see) was some comment about the heating/overheating of the cameras.

I just bought a 10 in 2024. For being only $200 and not being much different than the other ones I think its a steal. I don't need much. Considering one of my favorite YouTubers still uses an 8 i don't think it really matters.
