We teach you how to pair a Lutron Caseta Pico Remote to your Lutron Caseta light switch.

You can pair a pico remote to a Lutron Caseta smart light switch to control a group of light switches or turn a standard Lutron Caseta light switch into a 3 way smart light switch.

Thank you very much, man! Just installed these in the one and only Nick Carter’s house (lead singer of the Backstreet Boys) and you helped me set them up. Much appreciated

Thank you very much for this tutorial! The other day, I added the Lutron Caseta SmartBridge Pro 2 to my Wi-Fi router via Ethernet and added my Caseta dimmer to it.

Tonight when I crawled in bed and went to turn off my main bedroom light with my Pico remote as I've done for the past 3 or 4 years or so, nothing happened; the light stayed on.

Apparently, adding my dimmer to my new smart hub automatically deleted the Pico from the dimmer.

I searched Google for an answer, and at least one forum Said that the only way to add it back to the switch is to add it to the hub. I did NOT want to do that. I wanted it just the way I had it before. Adding it to the hub would mean that if I took away the hub, the Pico would not control my light anymore, I would think.

Thanks to you and your video, I'm back up and running to normal again.

Thank you very much!!!

Great tutorial. By the time I got to this part of my installation, I couldn’t be bothered trying to read the manual. This vid was super easy to follow and saved me the trouble 👍🏼👍🏼. Greatly appreciated.

Thanks - my switch/remote didn't come with directions on how to pair the remote. The directions I found at lutron were wrong. This worked.

Thanks, I couldn’t pair my Pico light remote with my fan on the app, but the RF pairing worked perfectly with my fan controller. Now the app shows the pairing. The RF pairing tip made it possible.

I used the RMJ-8T-DV-B Power pac dimmer module and I wish the module could remember the dimmed level after shutting the lights off.

I don’t bother reading manufacturer’s instructions anymore. My go to for how to and instructions is YouTube!

I love my remote light switch in my master bedroom. But I bought this kit at Lowe’s and there was no instructions in the box. I hooked up the switch super fast and easy but pairing the remote I had to YouTube it. Lutron needs to seriously consider putting that extra step in the box. Save some of us a bit of hassle.

what happens when you do that and then the remote doesn't actually control the light after? Could it be defective?

Is it possible to pair two different single pole switches together, so that you could have one or two remotes powering the two individual lights together at the same time?

The Lutron instructions were very unclear. I went and purchased a Smart Bridge Hub which after viewing your excellent video is totally unnecessary for a simple remote to one wall switch. Next time I will check your Videos!!!

I connect them manually but when i connected the in wall dimmer to the app the pico disconnects and doesnt work anymore

is there a way pico remote can be used without the use of the hardwire switch?

By pairing via RF and without the bridge on wifi, do you lose the ability to control this switch thru the app?

What’s the middle button do on the remote?

I purchased 6 pico switches but will be returning two because I don't need them. I paired two with two different switches that were wired to lights in my house and they work as expected. I attempted to pair two other pico switches to two other switches but cannot get them to pair and have made several attempts. I've rewatched the video several times and tried after each viewing, still no success. I press and hold the off button of the switch connected to my light. After 6 seconds the light comes on and the lights on the switch is blinking. I then press and hold the off button on the pico. The green lights on the wall switch go out after 6 seconds or so, the light in the ceiling is still on, I'm still holding the off button on the pico down. In a few more seconds the green light on the pico comes on, but the ceiling light does not go off (I'm still holding the pico button down). I tried both pico units and 3 different wall switches (the wall switches are connected to two different light on different circuits). I want the two pico units to each control one of the two ceiling lights. Since I was successful with the first two pico units it would seem that I'd have success with the second two. Perhaps it is just old age getting in the way.
