What is the Distance Matrix API?

Am i misunderstood something or it is correct that this API will charge per element basis not per request basis. For example, 50 API requests each requesting for two elements that is a pair of origin and destination is the same price as 1 API request for 100 elements of origins and destination matrix. It could be 25 origins and 4 destinations or 10 origins and 10 destinations. The price is the same which is $0.50 since we make a total of 100 elements requests.

Need to be aware that the price is per element request not per an API request.

Hello we have a problem. Using Distance Matrix API we can have only 25 points of Origins or destinations, but this is not enough, our coriers can have about 30 orders, so it's about 60 points. How can we avoid this limitation?
