I knew this already, but I just settled with the one hit, then sword skate. The momentum will be the same, so the extra hit doesn't do anything really. It can be useful, if you want to change direction though.

tip is that you have to touch the ground between the 2 swings, because the game only allows you 1 swing in the air with an adaptive frame. so on warlock low mobility definetely helps
