For the 12 passive slot, you can also make an imprint with bestiary craft to reset if the regal fails hard. It's sometimes more costly to alt spam, annul + regal if you get really unlucky than to use imprints once you get it.

I got a drop today for a large cluster jewel but not sure how to use it. The one in your video is sure different. Mines has 12 points but the color is clear brown and doesn't have a level requirement

Imprint maybe? Hitting powerful+razing i.e. 35% and 3% is quite uncommon. I self-crafted 3 of these for my arakaali fang and I just imprint, regal, if it's a bad mod I suffix to prefix or prefix to suffix, if I brick I go back to the imprint. prefix/suffix swaps are pretty cheap, then I slam exalt and pray for 4th mod. I'm not sure what's better honestly.
