The 24 Hour of Daytona has finished!! And with that, the 2023 IMSA season has started. This video is the race review on the 2023 addition of the Rolex 24, so I will talk about everything major that happened during the Rolex, including the battles in GTD and GTD Pro, that crazy photo finish in LMP2, and of course the introduction of LMDh and the return of the GTP name to IMSA. I hope you find this race review informative and entertaining as the Daytona 24 Hours is officially complete for 2023!

I gotta say I’m glad that this was my first Rolex 24.

Quick update! The issue on the BMW 25 first was reported as a battery problem, but now it’s being reported as a MGU issue on the car. Hope you enjoyed the video!

Great recap Jonah! Can't wait for Super Sebring, the countdown is on!

Glad to have caught the last 4 hours. It was chaotic but the LMP2 ending was insane. Also happy to have seen two fellow Frenchmen battle for the overall lead at some point

From F1 this was my first Rolex 24, actually my first endurance race every and man... I was glued to the screen, so much good racing, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the IMSA season. Hopefully I can also find a way to watch WEC.

Awesome race. So happy IMSA TV was free in my part of the world. Definitely recommend watching it if you have the means.

Good review, Jonah. Just hope Penske Porsche can work out the reliability issues and make a strong showing at Sebring.

I just wish IMSA would be broadcasted in Europe. I was lucky there was a restream on yt.

I've seen quite a few of the Daytona 24 hour races and this was one of the best I've seen. There was non stop racing from every category. I was really hoping that the BMW's would do better but overall, great race! Good breakdown of the race. Thank you!

Whoever is responsible for the battery modules, I hope they figure out how to make them better and more reliable in future races. It sucks for the teams to be dropped out of contention with parts they are not responsible for making. The race could have been even better with three, possibly four manufacturers competing at the end.

I was there for 19 of the 24. Already booked next year.

This was my first Rolex 24 at Daytona and it was epic. That LMP2 photo finish after 24 hours of racing was sick!

Ok but GT BOP needs to be completely corrected

Love this channel since the actual races aren’t as broadcasted

RLL is new to top class prototypes, but BMW should have had a better idea on the engine side of the equation based on their dominant history in the old steelframe DP class with Ganassi. my guess is the Dinan BMW package was vastly different and had little if any factory input to the formula because of the nature of the rules back then

Was brutally disappointed that the #7 Porsche comeback bid (got back to 1 lap down from 3) ran out of juice... literally. Sure hope they get that figured out. Anyway- I missed what happened to Ben Keating's car? He was dominant in the early going. I didn't make it up to Daytona, but I will be over at Sebring for the 12 hour race. I'm loving this new era.

Mercedes was impossible to beat but Corvette had a strong presence

It's unfortunate that none of the LMH cars raced. Since WEC and IMSA GTP both allow LMH and LMDh, I wonder why LMH and LMDh exist. I guess it wasn't the plan of WEC and IMSA at the outset.

I wonder if Acura/Honda will compete in Le Man/WEC in 2024.
