Wow! Thanks for posting. I almost paid my local bike shop $50, the hourly shop service fee, to install mine. Cheaper for me to buy the tool and do it myself.

Finally entering into the world of disc and your video really helped explain some of the question I had.

Important to know for my mtb buddies: the internal lockring-the one that works with the cassette tool is only usable for 12mm axles or slimmer. For your front wheel you will need the external lock ring - the one where you need a bottom bracket spanner.

Thanks for this, I just got centre lock wheels and a rotor and didn't know whether to remove the metal shim on the lock ring

The video is great thanks, I found that since my wheelset is quick release the locking tool can't be inserted properly because if the bolts holding the cup and cone. Have you got any advice, I can't get the bolt in afterwards either

Thank you so much for the video. Please tell me how do I set torque if the rotor has to be secured with the second type of rotor securing ring you showed with the spanner? I think I would need a lock ring crowfoot spanner or lockring socket so I can fix either to my torque wrench but I have had no luck finding such a tool. Can you pls help or advise me?

Great video. What size socket did you use on the torque wrench?

Thanks for your helpful videos. I have a question though as I will soon receive a new set of wheels from LB with DT240 exp hub : my current wheels have an external lock wheel on the front and in internal one on the rear. Should I keep the same set up or can I use internal lock ring on both ? I didn't really get the difference between the two. I'd appreciate your take on this as I see you went from external to internal on your setup.

nice video. 1Q: are the lock rings interchangeable? i mean do they fit across hubs?

Is the lock ring removal tool the same as the cassette tool?

Is the lock-ring tool the same as for Shimano Cassettes (also 40nm), or do you need a separate tool?

Great video. I have a center lock disc brake with Shimano discs and the tool and it fits perfectly except...when I tighten it, it doesn't cinch up, it still has play. I don't know if I'm missing washers or if I just have to tighten more. Any ideas?
