Well done guys it was great to see someone do an in-depth discussion on VR.
I reckon it's still early days for VR and there is a lot of confusion with VR, AR and windows mixed reality and all the different platforms PC, PS4 Xbox Etc... but things are improving very fast now we are starting to get some decent AAA games like Doom VFR, Fallout VR and even though I tried Vorpx with Skyrim it does not work great after a while all the controls get out of wack so been a big Elder Scrolls fan I can't wait to see Skyrim VR.

Wow, I didn't know the Doom VFR issue where the game freezes was a bug everyone else was having...I had just installed my tpcast and thought it was my tpcast...it's kinda good news to me, but I really hope they fix it.

(40:00) As a quake and Doom player, Doom VFR is unplayable with the dash teleport method. I died numerous times on the first bos becuase I couldn't simply move out of the way, or turn around quick enough to dodge the in-coming fire. With the new Full smooth Locomotion fixes, it's a a game changer! I had more fun and more of a challenge beating the boss on my 1st attempt with this method becuase it feels more natural and more like a normal FPS game.

I just noticed on the Oculus site that the Oculus Go "starts" at $199. Guess there will be multiple SKUs with more memory or faster performance? We'll have to wait and see!

Guys, re: Mission ISS. You've missed out half of the experience then, as you certainly can go outside and explore all around the station.

If you think about the potential uses for the Oculus Go then the cloth strap makes sense. I don't know about you but laying back in bed and watching a full movie sized version of Rogue One sounds like a game-changer. Now that I think about it I wonder if it will have some kind of support for flash storage... long car ride with the kids? No problem. Just load up a movie (or 3) and sync the headsets (? Is that even possible? Maybe in the future). Just some thoughts.

I've had no issues with the movement of Doom on the rift. You can push the stick in to teleport or move the stick in a direction and then push it in to dash. That was quick and responsive. The weapon switching was horrible though.

I think the minspec for Doom is 980.
And it's made by ID Software, not Bethesda, which is the publisher.

Doom VFR is a lazy port from PSVR is the main issue, they didn't bother make the menus work better on PC, didn't bother to fix basic stuff like gun angles, can't shoot enemies right on you, haptics seem broken, aliasing is godawful, smooth locomotion was not even an option for PC when it was on PSVR.. for $30 from Id software you'd expect the level of polish as something like Robo Recall from EPIC and it really isn't even close

Serious Sam 1, 2, & 3 are better than Doom VFR. So is Doom 3 BFG. You guys don't mention that there's NO haptic feedback in Doom VFR. Also, try shooting enemies that are up close. It won't work. I'm keeping my negative Steam review until they fix these issues.
