JBL Charge4 Firmware Update (how to)

This video explains the firmware update process for the JBL CHARGE4 wireless Bluetooth speaker.
The update of the firmware / software on the speaker requires an Android phone or an iPhone with the JBL Connect app installed. The app can be found in the Google Play Store or the App Store.
Once the app identifies the speaker, check for the little red dot on the settings icon at the bottom of the screen. This indicates that there is an update available.
The update process takes about 10minutes. Make sure not to close the app at any time during the update. Otherwise the speaker may not be functional afterwards!
Wait for the speaker to reset and restart on its own. Then the speaker and the phone can be used again.

it fixed my jbl speaker thx a lot! it could connect to the bluetooth but no lights and sound were coming out, i think there was a software corruption or something and by reinstalling the firmware now it works like new.

I updated it & there was no difference, I can't mess with it's features on the app?

My led lights won’t turn off and this drains the power very quickly without using it. Wonder if this firmware update will fix it?

Something is not quite right in your video. Not sure why your Charge 4 is showing as Flip 4 in the app? Is this even possible? I have checked my Charge 4 few times for updates after I bought it and there is no updates avalible. Actually the app is useless I cant even pair it with other speakers and the only thing it allowes me to do with it is turn off notification sound. I regret I actually bought this particular model 🤬

None of the play store apps are labeled as a charge 4 firmware update app.

HEY! Why does my new JBL Charger 4 not do "Call Audio"? It only does "Media Audio" in the Bluetooth pairing settings. My cheap Anker Bluetooth speaker does both.
