I'm an old movie buff, but never heard of Toby Wing until today. Another "Harlow" or "Mae West" type. Looks to me Toby was just as much a force to reckon with in her own right. Scene stealer and funny too.

Toby Wing was the ultimate ditzy blonde, on screen. In real life she was a very savvy businesswoman. Brains and beauty, the killer combo!

Now that a saucy little dish who could easily have been a WW2 pinup and the subject of artwork on aircraft. In 1941 when we entered the war she was 26. I'm sure plenty of our boys knew who she was and adored her. What a cutie.

Thank God we have Turner Classic Movie channel to enjoy these gems. I watch that channel often and love it when they run the early 30's movies, that's my favorite period of Hollywood.

Loved it...Super Compilation. Ive developed a greater appreciation for Toby in recent years thanks to the Pre-Code revival. She is funny as hell with a touch of Jayne Mansfield thrown in. A shame she didnt reach full A-list stardom. But she has left us a gorgeous collection of Iconic Cheesecake photos that define the term "30 Starlet" to a T. Also love her red-head counterparts Lona Andre and Grace Bradley.

Toby Wing is Everywhere! It seemed like she was in every Pre-Code Film often in an uncredited nonspeaking part. A real Southern Girl (she has quite the accent) her birth name was Martha but she was nicknamed Toby after the family horse!
