To sum it up: Control Taiwan and you not only control the semiconductor market, but also the South China Sea via the straight running beside it. This means military naval superiority and a choke point for commercial ships and supplies. Neither country wants that to fall in the other’s hands. This is an extremely strategic dire fight and unfortunately a hill both are willing to die on. This’ll get messy more than we’ve seen in recent years.

"Firing from the clip". Does this Yahoo know they are called clips? Last US military gun that used a "clip" was the Garand. When your commanders can't even use the correct terms for your know you are in competent hands.
