making a webtoon: the first 2 months | speedpaint and commentary

I've learned a lot these past few months since beginning to post "hello, hello" on Webtoon, and thought I'd make a little video going through my experience! Hope anyone watching can find it entertaining or helpful at all :) It's also been a while since I've edited any videos so forgive any odd moments throughout ;u;

its crazy how most webtoon creators work out the details of their story in a couple months to a year but here i am after over 2 years and only NOW am i working out the chapter-to-chapter, nitty gritty details ;__; (tbf, its a worldbuilding heavy story with a whole magic system to boot and takes place over the course of 3 years and two whole realms and good god theres a lot of characters!!)

2nd update: i deleted the first update cuz i came a long way since i commented this BUT HOLY SHIT A LOT OF YOU GUYS REALLY LIKED THIS COMMENT WTF here to let yall know i am still alive and have decided to drop my previous webtoon as it rlly was not working for me. I feel like since i fucked up w the beginning development it was keeping me stuck for like 3 years. Plus the concept of it doesnt appeal to me and my tastes now as im a different person from the one that first brainstormed my beloved idea and thats okay! Im still making a webcomic but its way different from the other and is something i feel much better suited to write now for my first comic, plus working much more efficiently so hopefully i'll have some solid concepts by the end of this year!

I personally think art style is the biggest key to getting success as a comic artist. Yours fits perfectly into the casual yet pretty webcomic aesthetic. It’s airy and yet grounded.

Hi! I wanted to thank you for making this video, i wanted to start a webcomic like 2 years ago but then i just never actually started drawing it, i had a lot of ideas but i never drew them but now I'm feeling the same way i felt two years ago! I haven't touched my sketchbook in like 5 months and this video inspired me a lot, i feel really happy for that.
