How to change YouTube channel description pc is really easy

To change your youtube channel description:
Make sure you are logged in.
Click on your channel icon (right top corner)
Click on "YouTube Studio"
Click on "customisation" (menu on the left)
Click on "basic info" (tabsheet top of screen")
Change your description
Click on "publish"

Wait a couple of hours. it takes a while for changes to propagate to all servers around the world.
it is much more important to youtube to serve a new video within seconds than a channel description, especially on a small channel.
Also cleaning browser cache might help.
I had to cut that part out of the video since viewers click away as soon as they have the answer.

I just updated all kinds of info on my old channel I haven't used in years but the Publish button is greyed out with no reason or indication as to why... how do I no loose all my changes & get it to show up so I can save them?

YouTube changes my description every time I upload a video. It does not match what it says in my basic info description. In fact, it changes it to something I've never had as my channel description. I feel like giving up. Nothing is working and my videos aren't showing up in search. I use a low competition keyword in my video name where there is only 1 video with that keyword in their video title that is showing up in search for that keyword. I use a low competition keyword for my key search term but my video doesn't show up in search.
