Thanks a lot! Went from recording 29 minutes and 50 seconds, to about 2 hours and 40 minutes, filling up my 64 Gb SD-card with a XAVC S file. I had a powerbank connected.

Your sentence regarding the cable was brilliant!!! I was wondering, why my camera is not recognized by the computer. After I heard that one little sentence, I tried another cable.... BOOM!!! I spent 2 hours trying to figure out why the MacOS gui and console script wouldn't work on my Intel MacBook 16" on Ventura 13.4. Kept getting a [Errno 13] Access denied (insufficient permissions) issue regardless of anything I tried. But your insight on using a Windows PC actually worked! I used the one at church and was able to install the hack my camera in less than 5 mins. Thanks for sharing what worked for you. Your video should be bumped up by the YouTube algorithm as the latest record unlock method.

SOLUTION FOR MAC USERS: I got an permission error when I tried it on my mac. I found a comment on a forum saying they quit the google drive application which usually runs in the background and it worked after. It also worked for me!

I have a dsc hx200v how do I remove the 30 minute limit? Your method wont work on my camera and it just says error when i try to install the app. It does detect my camera when I click get camera info.
