Windows 10 does sysprep automatically (at least in the recent builds) so at boot it will detect hardware changes and configure itself.

After replacing Intell stuf with AMD stuf and reinstalling Windows and 1 game ETS2 i get huge hiccup's in my Eurotruck game.

No fun to play the game like this.
I went from a Intel 11900K to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Graphics card Nvidia 4090 OC ad stock settings
Any one with this game have the same problems ?

Really all you need to do is change your sata controller driver from the intell chipset to standard through device manager. Then swap the parts!!!

Hey man, so when I switch, if I’m currently using windows 11, will I still have all my stuff after? Or will it all get wiped? I’m new to the pc scene and am not sure.

Nice! Did you have to install any drivers after installing the new CPU + MOBO?

This exactly the same journey I'm about to do. Got a free Win 10 upgrade and I don't know where my win 7 activation code is. Wish me luck.

Is it required to do the sysprep command before swapping the parts?

This is for anyone watching this video today in 2022.

i'm going from an intel i7-7700k --> AMD Ryzen 7 5800k. Installing a new CPU, MOBO, and RAM.

Curious if after i've backed everything up to my HDD, if i can just boot everything up on my SATA SSD (my boot priority right now) and be good to go?
I'm on Windows 10, and have my windows access activated with a digital license LINKED to my Microsoft account.

Should be able to boot it up, and log into my Microsoft Account/Onedrive correct?
(From the comments it seems JUST that easy. But before leaving the BIOS after first bootup, is there anything somebody recommends?)

Would you recommend downloading the following to a flashdrive to install IN THE BIOS LATER, before adding in my new hardware?:

-Latest BIOS Version
-LAN/Audio/VGA/Utilities/SATA Driver
-Chipset Driver

Appreciate any and all help. First time switching to AMD chipsets! <3

I didn't perform system prep before changing my hardware, I'm experiencing continuous crashes when starting all my games on Steam (I also changed Gpu)

Can I perform a system prep now and reinstall windows?
