ABC is a right∆,
And we find AC=?
So,
By Pythagoras theorem --
(Note: this theorem only applicable in right∆)
-- →(AC)²=(AB)² + (BC)²
→(AC)²=(3)² + (4)² [ AB=3m and BC=4 ]
→(AC)²=9 + 16
→(AC)²= 25
→AC = √25 [ "²" Send to right side ]
→AC= 5m

He gets 5 because 9(square root of 3)+16(square root of 4)=25(square root of 5)=5
