Almost exactly two years ago, I released a video about the top five Vice Presidents in history, and holy crap since then 147,646 people have watched it.

Anyway, since that video did surprisingly well, now it’s time to be negative.

So here are the WORST five Vice Presidents in American History, in my opinion. And, similar to my top five Vice Presidents video, I am judging them based on their actions over their entire adult lives, not just during their time as Veep. Also, Vice Presidents who later became President are exempt from this list, and that Mike Pence dude who is currently the Vice President is also exempt.

For the record, John Calhoun is the sixth worst Vice President. Who else did I leave out?

Alsoooo, who should Biden's running mate be?

"Accidentally" shot his friend... "accidentally" hit three people in one round of golf... coincidence? I think not.

George Lucas was actually asked about the Dick Cheney Darth Vader meme, and he responded by directly saying that *Bush* was Darth Vader, and Cheney was the Emperor.

While I agree that Dick Cheney was one of the most despicable characters in US History and is certainly in some sort of evil podium in World History as well, I mean, we need to separate the concept of "bad" from "ineffective", because Cheney literally succeeded in everything he wanted to do. Which is scary. But the point is that he's different from Dan Quayle who was just an idiot.

God, Cheney is such a dark and despicable figure... Even hardcore republicans hate his guts. He's everything that's wrong with this world and with humanity

I thank you endlessly for boldly stating the truth: Dick Cheney was awful.

I am tired of all the people who say "TOO RECENT" to quell any meaningful discussion of the Bush presidency.

I was raised in a very anti-Iraq War house and I was indoctrinated to hate Dick Cheney at 8 years old.

Since then, I have traveled, met all sorts of new people, experienced many life events, went to college and just became a more well-reasoned person.

Today, I still hate Dick Cheney. I have often had existential dread as my life has changed. But i take comfort in the fact: I will always hate Dick Cheney.

Fun fact: Dick Cheney was in charge of W's vetting committee to pick a VP candidate. And picked himself. Kinda says all about him.

The reason Dick Cheney isn’t dead yet is because even satan doesn’t want him.

Great Moments in Dan Quayle history with some of his quotes:
"Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child."
"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any vice president, and that one word is 'to be prepared'."
"We don't want to go back to tomorrow, we want to go forward."
"I have made good judgements in the Past. I have made good judgements in the Future."
"The future will be better tomorrow."
"I am not part of the problem. I am a Republican."
"I love California, I practically grew up in Phoenix."
"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls."
"We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a *part* of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a *part* of Europe."
"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
"For NASA, space is still a high priority."
"[It's] time for the human race to enter the solar system."
"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made."

Combining Quayle’s views on homosexuality while showing him wearing hot pink short shorts. 😆

You forgot to mention that Quayle likened himself to JFK and got absolutely roasted for it in the VP debates

I’m kind of suprised John C. Calhoun isn’t on this list. While he was Vice President he dragged his (and also my) home state of South Carolina into the nullification crisis, which nearly started a civil war. He was definetly influential as a politician but as a VP he was pretty bad, especially in his second term under Andrew Jackson

I disagree that Cheney is the worst VP. He never was VP. He actually ran the country for Bush the Second. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm not even American and I knew Cheney would be #1 before I clicked it

Also for Spiro Agnew, he was there for the reveal and dedication of Stone Mountain stating "We must recall those principles of loyalty, dignity, and honor that shine through the men we commemorate today." And those men were Jefferson Davis, Stonewall Jackson, and Robert E. Lee

I'm glad you put Cheney as #1. I don't think any VP has been more damaging to the country than he.

I realized that most of the warhawks are draft evaders (Cheney, Bolton, Quayle and etc)

Still my favorite quote from any debate was in the 1988 vice presidential debate, “Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy.” Dan Quayle will never live that down

Now here's something I've been thinking about lately: What if George HW Bush the 1st picked Dick Cheney as a VP and George W Bush the 2nd picked Dan Quayle at the same position? Like, both presidents Bush swapping VPs.
