Fun fact: JQA is the earliest president who has a REAL photo of him. William Harrison had one but it was eventually lost. JQA had his photo taken way after his presidency was over

George Washington literally rejected the pay when first asked to be president. He was later given it anyway because other govt officials insisted he would be setting a precedent that would make it difficult for future presidents to accept pay.

Fun fact about Jefferson and his taste in food, he actually put his slaves through culinary school and had them learn how to write and read in order to prepare his food which is why you can actually still find recipes for the food that Jefferson ate.
