A quick video on how to make a small electrolysis setup for cleaning in this case small items that have rusted or corroded. It's very simple and you shouldn't have to spend more than $10.

Items required:
9v battery
2 pieces of electrical wire
4 alligator clips
A plastic container
Baking soda

I did this today to copper plate a silver plated, brass spoon for a two-tone fishing lure, before I found this video. Glad it worked.

I’ve seen this on Repair Shop really can have miraculous results.

Great never thought of using a small 9 volt battery. I use Evapo Rust remover for a lot of my bike bits tools ect works well.

How long does the battery last doing this. Seems like a waste of money using an non rechargeable battery.

When you say baking soda, do you mean by-carbonate of soda, or baking powder? It's usually the Americans who confuse me...
