Having tried to update from 3.0 18025 from the ford website several times with different usb keys I eventually gave up and followed this videos advice. First time try and I got update successful. Removed the usb key and switched off engine, locked car, waited a few minutes and restarted it again. Sync 3 working a little faster but not showing a different version in the about sync page and apple car play still not connecting. Looks like it has been updated since 2019 when I bought the vehicle. Any reasons why it isn’t showing the updated version?

I just updated my SYNC with Cyan Labs. Took about 1.5 hours to download to USB and 30 minutes to install on my 2017 Escape

Hi. I’ve followed the steps and removed usb to put in car to check my20. It’s my18. So good. Re-installed the usb to complete process. However mine has navigation and the latest update I chose navigation toggle. The update in drop down says something like no nav and this is on a number of the recent updates. Am I ok to instal the download on the usb? It’s a Kuga in Europe.

I’ve just tried this and Cyanlabs said that it will only work on a MY20 my Ford Tourneo is a MY18. I don’t want it to brick my Sync System. Is this an issue, is there a MY18 version of Sync3.4?

Im confused as to why my car doesn't automatically update from Sync 3.0 to 3.4, its a Late 2018 Ford Fiesta ST3. I even looked up my VIN number on the ford website and it says my cars up to date. Is this safe for me to still do?

I have a question, when downloading the decompressed file, it generates 3 files (autoinstall, dontindx, and a folder called SyncMyRide) that within it there are 6 other compressed files, are those 6 also decompressed?

Once I hold the usb to the car it says. The usb storage device has been changed or removed and it pauses the update I can’t go pass that. Any input?
