Update gets to about 30% and stalls. The update dies and screen says” Last Checked for Updates: 08-23-2019 10:07:36AM”. I have attempted to download the update to USB but there are two corrupt TAR.GZ files in the zip folder that will not unzip. I have tried this on multiple PCs and Macs and the same files are corrupt every time. Ford needs to do a quality check on their hosted files or offer another download server for the update. The main reason I want the update is because of the GPS speed is inaccurate when connected to an Apple product like waze, life360, etc. Please reply is you know another fix.

My sync 3 is running 3.0 it won’t let me update it to the latest 3.3

If only it was this simple. It doesn't work, period. Auto update didn't work, and manual update spends 2 hours scsnning for updates, thrn the next several hours "downloading". The closest I've got to it completing the download in a 12hr shift, is about 60%. And it does NOT resume where it left off, next day. Please spare me the suggestion that it's a slow wifi connection.

Loooove my 2020 F150 and Sync 3 (and I do aftermarket car audio for a living!) but the latest update left a glitch, navigation voice volume reverts back to volume 8 or so, despite me adjusting it during prompts to 4 or 5. Super annoying on a recent trip! Every single time!

I have tried for over 30 minutes to update my 2018 f150 sync system. the spinning wheel never stops and it never updates. I'm super frustrated. WIFI is on auto updates is on. I give up.

2018 ford edge been trying all day to update 2.3 to 3.0 still didn't get it tried both ways wifi and usb

If you leave it on "auto update" you constantly get a notice covering your screen that there is no WiFi available. So when you leave your home's WiFi range this notice pops up. You clear it and a few minutes later it pops up again. Very enoying. And before you say "cell phone WiFi", not everyone wants to pay for unlimited data on their phone. We are not all teenagers living off of daddy's joint phone plan.

Hey Ford; it's all broken. The WiFi hangs at 1/3 of the way and the 1.5 gig download shows up as zero when it gets done downloading.

I have a 2018 F-150 with the latest nav map. It still does not include new roads built in my area three years ago. Garmin is updated within months of new roads and places opening.

You forget to mention car has to be on. Not leaving my car running for 2 hours for an update! Why can't it just do it OTA when I set it to, at night whilst the car is off?

Mine does "Searching for update" for several minutes when connected to WiFi and then just stops. Every time. What a crap.

Update, not update, I don't know what's happened, I've just got an very nice "black screen" from infotainment.
So, I have an Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2020 model, witch I bought last year, in June. 5 years warranty, right ?
What can I do with this now?
No back-camera, no clima control, no music, no navigation...
It's quite frustrating, don't you think?
Payed a bucket of money for this pick-up and I can not enjoyed.
Now, I just have to go to some Ford service-shop to fix your problem, in my free time ?
And, until they will fix "the problems", because I have a few, I have to rent a car.

The lack of quality in Ford's software products and update procedures is astonishing, but not surprising. They are trying to drive you to visit a dealer so you will have to pay them money for the update.

I have sync 3.0 and scan dor update and does nothing, i know i need 3.4, its amazing my wife had a ford fusion and has nothing but issues with radio, all the money you put into a car and you have to fight something annoying as a radio issue because of cheap software
