Did you know vore day is 8/8, which is a pun in both English and Japanese. In english 8 sounds like ate, and in Japanese 8 sounds like the phrase for a rumbling stomach.

Parentheses are generally understood as for subtext or metadiscussion. The correct thing to use would've been asterisks, which are generally understood as meta-explanations of in-universe actions.
If you're gonna be weird in a public online space, at the very least be somewhat linguistically correct.
