I bought the Spark to get started! Long before however i got used to fact that drone technology still hasn't really matured to our wildest dreams! The drones that science fiction is made of would be be one that is small (>300g), portable (foldable), cheap, powerful (30+ min flight time), with a high end camera (high res, low-light)...there isn't a drone that has that...but it is coming, and the market will push it there! Exciting times!

Thing is that little case the mavic is in is just the mavic ' so then you need a 2nd case for remote props batteries charger and that means more to pack and carry ..

I bought a Tello and will send it back. It’s nice for the price but it’s video isn’t usable. Not even for impromptu personal shooting.

I like the Air but think I’ll go with the spark. Both have been out for a while and the spark is a good entry point imo.

Then I can wait for the Mavic Pro or Air to get the capability of the R1. And that would be the splurge purchase. Maybe that will happen by the end of 2019.

I think spark is very capable as personal drone and traveling companion. It's so small and less intimidating. I have one and having no trouble at all bring it pass the security, but when i bring my p3, they stop me and asking me questions, which is sucks.

No you need the flymore package with the spark. I think the Mavic Air is worth buying it for the better camera and controller plus smaller travel size.

This isn’t a very apples to apples comparison! You NEED the controller with the spark. Better range, speed, agility and overall pilot experience.
The mavic is barely faster than the spark with the controller.
No one is foolish enough to believe the spark is as good as the mavic air is by any stretch, and the better value is also the mavic sir. but you should at least do a more equal comparison for those that are on the line with spending their money. They’re not so night and day as you’re making them out to be.
I own both so, yes, I know first hand.

Sorry that is not true at least for me. I have the spark and this is a amazing drone, make sure to get the control you will have lot of fun, with out control it will be boring. Nothing like having more control of your drone. I have the mavic platinum and I always go back to the spark.

Spark is really suitable for beginner that don't want cheap chinese product, but quality chinese product! that don't really hurt if you crash your drone into something while gaining flight time
after sometimes using the spark and you want MORE or suddenly entering industry works then skip to the Mavic Pro or Phantom
