It’s new bow season. Whose new bow are you most excited for? Video ideas for new bow launch?

I work for Bear and I can tell you that we all appreciate people like you who are letting others know if you can't buy the newest most expensive bow on the rack, you can have a great experience for less money. We pride ourselves on making great products at a good price, and I think you have been showing that potential.

I put a qad rest and a single pin slider sight on my Bear Resurgence and it goes toe to toe with my Hoyt VTM. That being said I know quite a few budget Bear shooters using whisker biscuits and trophy ridge 4 pins that are absolute killers on the range and in the woods. No substitute for good shooting skills. I see too many new archers thinking a $500 dollar sight and $300 dollar rest on a $1500 bow is going to make up for inexperience and lack of practice.

Update:
I bought a bear adapt and practiced for at least 6 months and I have gotten 2 deer this season and one shot was at 35 yards at a small statured deer. I am thankful for this video because i made the upgrades you did. Man, it feels good when you know you got a good shot off.

As a novice archer, this was very educational. I’m shooting an entry level Bear Approach, and I don’t have a comparison to consider how I could improve my setup. Those video helped me understand the role that a stabilizer and other upgrades play in the overall performance.

Thank you! You’ve earned another subscriber:)

0:01 I am currently shooting a Bear LS6. Kind of unforgiving but that should be expected. 5 in brace height and only 70% let off, but it is crazy fast. Major bow manufacturers all make pretty good bows, otherwise they wouldn’t stay in business very long. I have been bow hunting for 40 plus years and still love just flinging arrows in the back yard. I just subscribed, keep up the great content.

In the FWIW department, a round is 10 ends of 3 for the Vegas "Round". An "End" is 3 arrows for the Vegas game. Blue Face, 5 spot would be 12 Ends of 5 for a Round.
Keep up the good content 😀

I just recently got fitted for my first bow to hunt with, and I'm happy to say it will be the Adapt+. The FPS had me on the fence, as well as the peep sight on the string. Glad to see these things can be corrected with amazing results, can't wait to practice with my Bear!

The real reason they put the tube peep on is because they use cheap strings. It's gonna constantly move on you, skip that stab set up and spend the 150 on a good custom string and cable set up, it'll do way more for you in the long run.

I have never bought the big name, high end bows. I always sort of liked the "underdogs". I also have never owned a compound that wasn't a single cam or a lever bow (Oneida, though technically it has more than one cam). My current bows are not new, but still shoot great and kill every year. I have a Wheeler Velociraptor (2002 or 2003, not sure), a Pearson TX-4 q/Z-7 cam (2007), a Hoyt Aspen Redline (1999), Diamond Core (2015?), 2021 Oneida Phoenix. I am really liking what I see here with the Adapt. I need another bow like I need another hole in my head, but I am impressed thanks to your video. These bare bows can be had for $350 right now and I think that is a steal, especially with their adjustability.

Thanks for helping newbies without big budgets. I'm 84 and adjusting to inflation is difficult.

Niiicce! Bear bows have always been considered budget bows, however set them up properly and they will flat shoot!
I see you’re digging the wrist rocket. May I suggest you try a T.R.U. Ball Centerline!?!
I play with a lot of wrist rockets and I’ve been shooting this one a lot lately over all the other 10 or so I own from “budget” to “too much” price range!

Totally agree about "just get a bow in your hands." I bought a Bear Encounter off Craigslist for $150 with a 6 pack of arrows and a hard case. I was absolutely garbage with it, but as I shot it and got comfortable and slowly upgraded the rest, sight and added a stabilizer I'm able to hit 4/5 ten rings at 20 yards consistently through a session. Next purchase is a Bowtech SS34 though 🤙

SO close just a better rest and back bar and you were there....for 1/3rd price...its primarily speed and sound/vibration is 20fps work 1600+ more? We all know its bragging

I aporeciate what you attempted and enjoy the content thank you, and good shooting....

i think the biggest upgrade was not on the shopping list (you mentioned it at the beginning): you improoved your skills. would be intersting if you shot once more the old setup to get a sense of your level of improvement. furthermore, in comparison to this test, it would show if the upgraded gear has any benefitial effect

Crazy what a couple upgrades can do for accuracy. Well thought out budget wise and content wise! Keep slinging away Tim.
