I'll continue to drive my 2010 JK because I have done so much to it already but absolutely love everything that they have done with the new JL. If money wasn't an issue, I'd invest in the new Rubicon and start all over. Convincing the wife to get the new Sahara before the end of the year when her current lease is up. Went to see it at the dealer last week and she love it! :) My son currently owns an XJ and my daughter wants a YJ. We will be the Jeep family on the block.

Sticking with my 2016 JK unlimited Rubicon because I've already done all the upgrades you can do just shy of a Atlas transfer case

I've been planning to buy a JL as my first Jeep. I saw the firecracker red rubicon and fell in love. It's going to be a year or two before I can afford one, so maybe I'll wait for either the diesel or hybrids. Thanks for all the info

I've had 2Jk Rubicons a 2011 and 2016 Love the jeep you can make it your own also lots Of mechanical problems which is OK Because after the warranty's was over I had the ability to fix it myself But I wouldn't buy the 1st year model especially from Chrysler fiat unfortunately

Yes I'm definitely going to be ordering an '18 JL Rubicon as soon as the color I want becomes available. Will be a nice step up from my current '10 JK Rubicon.

I’m thinking of buying a used JL. I don’t think I’ll ever turn back. Drove a rented 2 door black one back in 2011 and the Wave was a pleasant surprise lol

That alone had me feeling at home in that bad boy

Although nice, I think I'm just going to keep my jk. Maybe do a diesel/ls swap down the road. But at 170000km she is still going strong.

I had a 1997 TJ. I love the JK, but now I'm glad I skipped it. I'm definitely getting a 2018 JL! ... used in 2020. Let someone else pay the new car price. I love it!

Is the JK still the only flat towable, or is the JL towable behind a motorhome now?

Its a nice looking jeep, I just think it has more than needed to be a wrangler, the more electronics in a car, the more things to bad, Wrangler is know you be a simple but practical vehicle with basic mechanics easy to fix when going off road, I really hope they cone up with a rugged version of the JL. This is more like a soccer mom jeep, nothing but a Cherokee with the looks of the Wrangler.

Thanks Ryan! This will be my first Jeep (Rubicon) and your videos have been extremely helpful. Don't think I would have ordered a JK based on your comparison.

I will absolutely be purchasing a JLT with the diesel engine, but the JK will stay in the family too

Looks like the front air dam is part of the front bumper rather than a separate piece. True? Just more to trim if you off-road. I like it being a separate pc.

Ill wait for the truck version and see if they toughen up on it a bit. For now, my 97 Sahara makes me smile more. The utility of an older Jeep just makes for a better time driving around IMO. I don't want creature comforts, I don't want to have great MPG, worry about the touchscreen going out after I leave the top off and it rains. I want bare bones, simple, easy to work on, 4.0 inline 6 reliability. Not just some SUV.
