I was on Cneto's stream yesterday. he spent like almost two hours talking about this. i don't want to take a side on this "problem" but i unlocked Tainted Eden literally while he was streaming, and a similar thing happened to me with shop pool items turning into devil deal items. i didn't know how to explain it. but i knew that you, as the player you are, wouldn't cheat on a streak run. that video was cool tho.

Thanks for the video, honestly the only weird thing here was how cneto was so fixated on this whole thing. People explained to him the bug like 10 times and he just ignored them. I think he just doesn't like you.

Oh well, since you do not explain in moderate detail the bug related, I will allow myself to copy the explanation I just wrote 5 mins ago from Cneto's post for those who are lazy to investigate about it and only watch the comments.

[Quick explanation] Despite the wiki stating the opposite, the D4 afterbirth+ bug is still in Repentance. This means the item pool associated to the item you pick up is related to the latest item pool pedestal generated.

Therefore, in the Tainted Eden streak #1 video, he enters the shop where he had Broken Modem but he waits until he kills the boss which spawns Pageant Boy and he doesnt encounter any new generated item when he picks up Broken Modem so the item pool associated to Broken Modem becomes Boss Room Item pool. Same happens with Dinner and Star of Bethlehem, he sees Dinner and waits until Star of Bethlehem spawns so Dinner becomes Ultra Secret room item pool aka Angel room item pool.

You can watch subsequent rerolls as they maintain said item pools.
