In this video, the political and theological subterfuges are exposed by Subdeacon Daniel Kakish (Syriac Orthodox) and Craig Truglia (Eastern Orthodox). The goal is to equip the viewer with the varying viewpoints to discern "who is right" during the council.

To me, this whole argument hinges upon whether everyone on earth recognized Eutyches was denying double consubstantiality or not when Eutyches said statements such as "I say these things [i.e. double consubstantiality] because you now *order it*." I am legitimately surprised anyone interprets these statements as literal approval for the doctrine. How seriously should we take these interpretations? I think Subdeacon Daniel's response to being addressed in an identical way says it all:

Totally excited, I look forward to listening . It is great to see Mina one of the most concerned person on this from years back at Oriental Orthodox Yahoo group along with Fr. Peter Farrington. I will not consider it as coincidental that it is fitting to recollect Fr. V.C Samuel of Memory Eternal as we enter into the 25th year of his repose, who picked up this topic to research and brought forth in the book ' Council of Chalcedon reexamined ' Some of us who believe that Fr. Samuel’s most original and revolutionary thoughts have yet to be understood and find more of its place in the worship, service, and common witness in the life with Christ in the Church through Fr. Peter Farrington republished Fr. Samuel's book with his preface, notes and concluding observations personally found after his repose. It will be a good idea if both speakers and others to look at how Fr. Samuel shows relevance in contemporary times

In some verses from the Sunday Ochtoichos at Vespers we often pray that Christ is of two natures in a single Hypostasis, How is that different from what the miapysites are saying?

He said no one ever said that there were two natures before Chalcedon? The creed (325) literally says “by the holy spirit AND the virgin Mary” . . . the και there is pretty important.

Leo was a deacon at Ecumencial Council of Ephesus and so was as St. Pope Dioscorus.

Natural Union/Concrete Reality is the key from St. Cyril which was missing by Chalcedon/leo

I’m going to listen to this video in a bit as I’m excited. One thing you got me thinking is “who started the schism?” I don’t think this is an easy question, but what I’m doing lately is reading the minutes in a new way. First I’m reading Constantinople 448 ALONE, then Ephesus 449, then leading up to Chalcedon 451. This made me think of criticisms on both sides. Thus far it’s hard to pinpoint who is initially at fault. So far trying to see this from an unbiased pov, the Satanic domino effect of Eutyches and the blinded zeal of Eusebius mixed with blinded zeal of Miaphysites mixed with imperial meddling makes it hard to pinpoint the “cause” of schism. But I have not found the “flip flop” of Dioscorus that is being claimed. I think Dioscorus is guilty with the same thing I think Flavian and Eusebius is just as guilty of, which is zeal with blinders on, not pausing to have an opportunity for further discussion of a certain point being made.

Does Daniel not believe in person/essence distinction?

Jesus did not have two natures while on earth. If we say he didn't know the day or hour of his return in his human nature only, that is a Nestorian understanding and is not correct. Rather, he was a man with the spiritual identity of the Divine Logos. He did miracles, not by his own power, but the Holy Spirit in him. To say he had two complete natures is Nestorian.
