A second secret location is what I recommend. Make sure its close enough to walk to but far enough out. Stockpile most of stuff at second site. At second site start looking for a third just in case. Tell no one and remember a gun is just a club when bullets are gone. ❤

Imagine how bad things can really get in a true grid down scenario.
The trucks stop running for whatever reason. No fuel, no trucks, no food delivery.
No fuel for police cars, no police protection, no fire trucks nor ambulances or any first responders.
People in the city will not last long before they exhaust their food supplies and seek out food elsewhere.
They will turn towards the suburbs and the country looking for food supply, some good people, some bad.

Long story short, your average everyday mom, dad, brother and sister will revert back to their basic animalistic instincts.
Moms will shoot people in the face for a can of pees. Those that have provisions out in the open will not have them for long...
It behooves of you, to hide what you do have.

I am not much of a prepper, but I will be a raider if I need to be. When it comes to my family, there isn't anything in the world I am not willing to do IOT protect them and to better their position / status. If that means doing some of the worse of the worse onto others IOT make sure of that. 100% absolutely, and there are very few that will be able to stop me from doing so with the training background that I have.

In closing, hide your provisions. They are better under the ground w/ a hidden way to get to them.
That could be an old broken-down car through the hood or trunk leading underground, or a closet or under the bed etc.
Make 100% sure you can egress safely from this place. Something with 1 way in and 1 way out is a horrible idea.

Make sure whatever ventilation you decide on is well hidden. It does you know well if you have a big white pipe sticking out of the ground saying, "Over here!" that stands out like a sore thumb. Maybe use the cars old exhaust pipe for your ventilation.

Long story short, stay 'low' and pack a mean gun.
