Chinese foreign minister says ‘injustice against Palestinians’ lies at the root of conflict

Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said that that the “historical injustice suffered by the Palestinian people” lies at the root of the conflict between Israel and Palestinians.

He also emphasised that Palestinians have the right to statehood, as Israelis have.

Yi made the comments while meeting with Josep Borrell, the EU high representative for foreign affairs, in Beijing on Friday.
