I always found myself lost in my life, being controlled by all others using me while they climbed higher and I was left to bath in my own frustrations and resentment. I realized that I can not pilot my life on my own I would just screw it all up again. Thought I should surrender all to God what did I have to loose. In time this changed my environment and my life. The other day I decided to go out for a walk. There is a small park next to where I live but that day I felt such a peace and every sound was hushed even the noisy birds were quiet. My walking companion remarked how very quiet it was that day. This quiet peacefulness continued until we arrived at a busy main street. I mention this bc I’ve never experienced such serenity in a neighbourhood setting. I think that something is changing in my environment or something is changing in me. For so many years I’ve felt like everything and everyone is in such a hurry including myself. Now I take time to look around me and see the beauty that God has created. I nod or say hi to strangers as I pass by instead of hardly being aware of them. I’ve taken to spending more time in studying the scriptures and wonder how I’ve missed the layers of meaning before about Gods love for us. It’s like I spent so much time studying the rules instead of paying attention to the teacher.

The Pastor asked the congregation to give God praise and I put my whole heart into it and gladly yelled my praises, until I felt I was the only one praising in a loud voice. So I slowed and stopped. I didn’t look around because people were quiet and I was uncomfortable.
