Why People STARE At You (And What It Means)

I’m sure like me, you’ve also been, in a few social situations, where you felt, like everyone, was staring at you. Even though you think, you always look good, and clean.
For a brief moment, you feel embarrassed & uncomfortable, to say the least.

You start to wonder, if there is something wrong, with your face, hair, and clothing, but you don't notice anything, out of the ordinary, then you question, why they were staring at you, in the first place, if there was nothing wrong with you.

So, before you go, and frantically, start carrying human size mirror with you, let's understand, why people stare!!

When people stare at you a lot goes through their minds. They judge they get curious about you in some kind of way and they wonder about you who you are and what you are. It's human nature. We are all unique in some kind of way. Everybody has some kind of magnetism. Some stronger than others. Jus ride with the tide when you feel uncomfortable around people.

Not everyone staring, its usually one person, thats in a crowd of people, with their evil glaring eyes continuously on me while i am out with associates. Its a very uncomfortable feeling for me, a black woman in a karaoke bar in MN. that makes me feel unsafe & targeted therefore i do not go out to bars anymore. My safety & security is my priority now

I believe that the way we perceive staring depends on our self-esteem:. if a person has negative feelings about themselves, they may perceive it as an affront and be offended by it. If a person has positive feelings about themselves, they won't be offended by it and just shrug it off.

As a person who suffer from body dysmorphia disorder, I get major anxiety and start to feel deformed when I get stared down, I am 6'1 and walk fast, but I get people staring at me even sitting down in public, I feel like they staring at my deform face...

People stare for various reasons. Most people are negative mindset. Usually the reasons are not good. 1 im being sized up. 2 someone has been talking trash about me 3 they are trying to figure out what kind of piece of crap i am. 4 they hate me for being different.

Its so true, when I find something appealing, u find myself watching. When im about to leave the atmosphere I'm in, I make sure to express what u found appealing about them. Sometimes its just their hair, sometimes they really are a pretty, sometimes its how they deal with their children (positive ways) When beauty comes into play, it always gravitates my eyes in their direction. They always smile or laugh.
