She is right on this one regarding lighter is better. You can get away with doing the normal wrist curl with closer to your bicep level weight but reverse wrist curl....definitely use lighter because those muscles are probably not that strong for you.

I do this with a barbell. It's helped me recover from months of tennis elbow hell. But if you have tennis elbow, it's advisable to do this without weights first. Hold your arms out in front of you and do this same motion with your wrists, up and down. Hold and stretch on each one. Do 8x and then rotate the fists so palms are facing each other, do the same motion 8x. Also get a hold of a FlexBar from Theraband and do their tennis elbow exercise (it's shown on youtube) and you really will recover.

is there a difference between the normal wrist curl and the reverse? i have this protruding cartilage on my right wrist and it hurts when I perform the normal wrist curls. Do they workout the same muscles? also, i think reverse is harder than the normal one. like if you agree.

she didn't do it completely right, the elbow has to stay fixed on the leg, leaving the elbow fixed will generate greater tension in the forearm
