I used to be just like you. I got all my resale purchases from Stock X. I had purchased 2 pair of Yeezys and 2 pair of Off White Vapormaxs (white and black) as well as eight other pairs of sneakers and I had not had a problem with authenticity. That all ended when I purchased the Off White Chuck Taylor’s. Not only were they fakes, but they were the same ones that had been popping up on eBay where the texture of the upper and placement of the tags ( as well as other details) were way off - even the box was wrong. I assumed it was an honest mistake (perhaps they had sent me shoes the meant to reject) so I contacted them. They told me to send photos of the shoes for them to examine. My fear was that they would try to accuse me of swapping them out even though the Stock X tag was still attached. I was shocked when I heard from them saying that I was wrong and the shoes were legit. They didn’t even match the photos of the shoes on their website. Once I pointed this out, they said they would take the shoes back and send me a return label. I waited two days, but no label was sent and they had stopped responding to my emails. So I contacted my credit card company. That was when Stock X decided to reach out to me. They once again promised a refund if I would dropped the charge back claim. I told this to my CC company about their request and they said I definitely should not do that as Stock X would then not be obligated to issue the refund and I would be unable to re-open the complaint. They also said that they had reached to Stock X for there version of what happened and had not heard from anyone. After about 10 days I got a full refund, but it was via a charge back. Stock X never reached out to me about returning the fake shoes (which I sill have in my garage) even though I have told them I will happily return them if they send a label. If Stock X had simply admitted to their mistake I would have no issues with them. People and businesses make mistakes, but I feel like Stock X tried to knowingly rip me off. You don’t have to believe what I am saying, but I think it is important that people know what happened to me in this situation - not because they made a mistake, but because they refused to own up to it. I have heard similar stories from others and if it hadn’t happened to me I would probably not have believed it myself. I had spent a lot of money with Stock X so I needed to be able to trust them. I believe all the other shoes I purchased from them are 100% legitimate, but I will never do business with them again.
