I recently purchased TCL's NXTPAPER 14 tablet, it was £399 on Amazon, purchased it on the recent black Friday event for £229, same technology as the mobile phone. Best tablet I've ever owned due to no screen glare and having an ink paper mode, reading my e-books is superb. It's a really intersting phone. It looks like it's the best of the both the smartphone world and the e-reader world. I use my Kobo a lot because I like to put web articles on the GetPaper app, and then I sync my Kobo with its native Paper app, and I read tons of stuff.

But with this TCL phone, it looks like I'll just use my phone instead of syncing my Kobo and carry two devices. I think I know what my next smartphone is going to be. What surprises me the most is that the ink mode is so fluid. I wish my Kobo screen was that fluid.

This display feature is really great. I got the tablet version of this (nxtpaper 14) and it's so nice to look at! It really does feel like looking at a magazine and not a display. I use it a lot to display sheet music and it's just the perfect device for that.

I have a TCL 40 nxtpaper and the updates are very bad on TCL. The smartphone came with Android 13, I'm out with 15 and TCL doesn't even make Android 14 available
