Yes, I’m an SQA engineer and I have to work very closely with both product and engineering. I’ll often spend time understanding requirements from the product engineers and making sure the engineers understand them. Also making sure mobile api design will work with the UI design, as those two processes are somewhat disconnected. Also not just understanding requirements or specs but understanding the goal of the feature or project, and what it’s trying to achieve and how it will be used. This helps prioritize what to focus on testing. I also try to understand how the system as a whole works at the macro level and understand its weak links, which also influences what to target in testing. If I find something weird that I’m unsure of how to handle, I’ll talk it through with the product manager, then with the developers, or sometimes both at the same time. I’ll also sometimes be active in implementation discussions. It’s actually a really fun job.

i have choosed QA engineering for my career path. moset of the people are saying QA engineer salary will be low level that SE. how about salary level for QA automation . can anyone clear???? and pls indicate country also...
