Ummm what? Most QA jobs I see want Java and selenium. What is this guy talking about? Truth: it depends on your region and the tech stack prevalent in that region. Here in the USA, especially in Virginia most companies want these things: Java, selenium, cucumber, api testing, familiarity with CI/CD and other devOps tools. Don’t get me wrong, I see lots of cypress and JS, but this guy is mistaken about the value of learning Java for your *first* QA job.

Learn both if you can to maximize your options, start with one and learn how to automate in the other.
