Texture Paint is like painting on a flat image that is wrapped around your 3D model, allowing for detailed designs and colors, perfect for adding fine details like patterns or textures. Vertex Paint is like coloring directly on the dots (vertices) of your model, which is quicker but less detailed and best for simple coloring or adding basic shading. Use Texture Paint for detailed and realistic textures that have been UV wrapped, and Vertex Paint for simpler, quicker color work on low-detail models that have not been UV wrapped.

How the vertex color be applied instantly without having to paint it by hand. Is there no option to choose all vertex or faces and apply the paint that way?

It is so annoying having to paint it all by hand when the object is big and detailed.

Seems pretty pointless as you can get the same effects by just using texture painting on a cube without so many subdivisions.. You could have pointed out the reason one would choose vertex paint over texture painting. I am sure you will explain the reason.
