Is Wuthering Waves dead in Japan right now?

After the fiasco with Jiyan's signature weapon, things weren't looking good at all with many JP players contacting the Consumer Affairs Agency in Japan to seek council on legal action against Kuro Games.

At one point, Wuthering Waves was down to rank 15 on Google Play Store in Japan, so things were NOT looking good at all.

As far I've seen in the JP Wuwa feed, they seem pretty alright so as far as Wuwa is doing in Japan, they'll probably be fine.

Today, they leaked the emails of players who contacted them for compensation due to limited weapons. It's amazing how Kuro manage to make mistakes every day.

The details of the "case by case" has been revealed...

Kuro basically sent a blanket email to all applicants (while also leaking all their emails), telling them to take it up with their payment services. Kuro on their end will deduct the amount of premium currency from accounts that do this and will perma ban any accounts that are on a negative balance for an extended period.

Kuro also said they will not renew the 2x bonus on gem purchases for these accounts, which means affected accounts will need to pay double in order to get a negative balance back into the blue.

Needless to say JP Twitter is on fire right now.

Glad jp bros are getting help, cannot be complacent just because of free things. This shouldn't have been a issue in the first place among many other things. This game I'll always say needed another month as it stands this is open beta.

Though one thing i will say is that had this been a global issue i doubt we'd get the same refund treatment and be left with "well, deal with it. Heres 160 asterites" given thats how the majority of devs are

Yes. I am quite happy that the issue were being fix as fast as possible and both the devs approach and the feedback of the players were positive. There's a rumors that we will get a free copy of Jiyan's weapon as an additional compensation for the issue, I'm not sure if this is true but I hope it is, and I also am not sure if this will be available on global
