Показать описание
OVA means Open Virtual Appliance, you will have many pre-build Virtual Machines or Virtual appliances that you want to quickly import to Proxmox.
In this video I have explained how you can get your appliance ready in proxmox within few minutes.

All the commands that I used are provided in link below

0:00 - Introduction and Purpose
0:39 - Step 1: Downloading the OVA File
1:18 - Uploading the OVA File to Proxmox
2:19 - Step 2: Extracting the OVA File
3:20 - Step 3: Creating a Virtual Machine in Proxmox
4:41 - Step 4: Importing the OVF File
6:01 - Step 5: Importing the VMDK Disk
6:28 - Checking the Imported VM and Disk in Proxmox
8:00 - Conclusion and Closing Remarks

With few scripts in proxmox CLI you can get started.

Thanks! I transferred the OVA file from my Mac, so I used scp (after creating the required directories on the machine), but I followed this for everything else.

I have a large VM disk file that I need to upload directly to a ZFS pool, but I can't find where the pool is mounted. It's not in /var/lib/vz.

Hi friend, good video, I followed all the steps of your video but at the moment of finishing the disk import with qm importdisk.... it sends me this error when turning on the machine "
TASK ERROR: storage 'local' does not support content-type 'images'"

Really great Video. I have just one question: You have used two different Storage "proxthin" and "local-lvm", is it possible to use only one storage for the two steps you did?

I followed this but the imported OVA/VM under options / Boot Order says "No Boot Device Selected".
When I try to fix, it warns "Warning: No devices selected, the VM will probably not boot!".
Any fixes?
