One of the basic tasks you will want to accomplish with your Proxmox installation is uploading ISO images. However, if you are like me, you may run into issues with the default storage location and size with a default Proxmox installation. How do you create your own custom ISO storage location in Proxmox? Let's look at this in a home lab quick tip video!

This was very helpful especially starting on a fresh install and having this upload location already available. Thank you.

ISO image is still not visible, anyone know how to do that, when I go into the drop down, no images to select? Hmm seems you can only see ISO's in VM's not containers.

But this does not solve the problem with downloading large files, because Proxmox first puts the file into /var/tmp and only then moves it to the final storage.

silly that you have to dedicate a whole new disk for ISOs, whats wrong with allowing an iso folder on an existing disk

Do you realize that sharing an nfs share from your NAS can accomplish the same task? Additionally you can resize it in the future. The only downside is the speed limit of your network. Not a big one.

This is infuriating. ESXI does this so much better. They have to make it so that I can use a LUN as ISO storage.
