Welcome to Australia's MOST UNDERRATED SUV...

The 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is a mid-sized family SUV that really has not been getting enough credit. For $36,990 driveway, you get a fully loaded, family SUV with a punchy yet frugal 1.6L turbo petrol engine, 7 year warranty, and so much more. So what makes it so underrated? Let's talk about that!

I'm an owner myself and Chery has been in PH for 4 years, I've seen Chery Tiggo cars being driven for almost 100k and never had issues with it. And that made me decide to get one. Instead of getting an overrated Japanese car.

Purchased the new Tiggo 7 Pro. Coming from VW, this is the best vehicle I ever had. I’m usually a dealer’s worst nightmare of complaining about everything. And I didn’t have anything to complain about with this awesome vehicle.

I'm loving my Tiggo 7 Pro AWD, 1 week in and travelling nearly 200k's per day. It's amazing and am enjoying more each day as I learn more about it.

I’m so grateful you made this video about the Chery Tiggo 7 pro and actually showed my review about the fuel consumption. One thing I didn’t mention is I used My Tiggo (The Red Beast) for part time Uber driving and this car surprises me all the time with its performance and fuel consumption. I top the tank everyday (it’s just me). And it’s amazingly very economical. Yes unfortunately Australians are not getting that all the well known brands are not offering the cost and benefits that a car like The Tiggo offers for its affordability. All my passengers are very impressed when they step into the car. Buying the Tiggo was the best decision I ever made and selling the MG HS Core was the second best decision. It feels like I went from basic to a higher level of premium and it does feel that way. I think people should just go to a dealer (I recommend Motorama In Springwood if you live in QLD and ask for Andrew).

The stigma of these cars need to stop, the whole cheap and nasty label that keyboard warriors want to slap on these cars is laughable. To think this is only a drop in the ocean Chery's line up is insane overseas not to mention their luxury line Jaecoo is another level. The manufacturers in China are levels above what's available here, once they land here we will be spoilt for choice.

Chery is the fastest growing car brand in South Africa with a model line up of the TIGGO 4 Pro, 7 Pro, 7Pro Max, 8 Pro and 8 Pro Max.

I own my second one now, had the 4 first now the 7, love the car, came from Volvo and BMW. In South Africa our police force are using the 4 and know of people thats kilometres are on almost In South Africa, on the 7 you get a 7 year service plan and a 7 year warranty plus a million kilometres warranty or 10 years on the engine, but who keeps a car for 10 years. I keep a car for 3 years if that max. My 4 I kept for 6 months then upgraded to 7, hardly lost anything.

In KSA there is an offer to take the car by installment without interest and the price starts at about 28400 AUD

Politics (& suspected state subsidies & ...) set aside, there's still the question of resale value and thus total-cost-of-ownership. A cheap entry ticket isn't everything.

Let's see how these hold up after ten years.

Will switching to Linglong tires boost the consumer rating?
