Connecting the Federated States of Micronesia

The Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) are a group of more than 600 islands split between four states, dispersed over more than 2,600,000-square kilometers (1,000,000 square miles) of the Pacific Ocean. With that extraordinary distance, comes significant logistical challenges. A World Bank project, in partnership with the Government of FSM, is now helping to reduce that distance through better internet connectivity.
