First time seeing the channel? I'm HALF PEEPS (aka peeps4321 or Samuel). I make video game animations here on YouTube, mainly using SFM (Source Filmmaker, animation software running on Valve's Source game engine) and S2FM (Source 2 Filmmaker, the updated version of SFM running on Valve's Source 2 game engine). Most of my videos are related to Valve Software (mainly Half-Life and Portal) but don't be surprised if another franchise pops up occasionally. Starting YouTube back in 2013, in 2020, I hit my first 1,000 subscribers (took me long enough, I know...) and subsequently hit 10,000 in 2021. My ultimate goal is to reach 100,000 subscribers. Half-Life is a series of first-person shooter (FPS) games developed and published by Valve. The games combine shooting combat, puzzles, and storytelling. The original Half-Life, Valve's first product, was released in 1998 for Windows to critical and commercial success. Players control Gordon Freeman, a scientist who must survive an alien invasion. The innovative scripted sequences were influential on the FPS genre, and the game inspired numerous community-developed mods, including the multiplayer games Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat. Half-Life was followed by the expansions Opposing Force (1999), Blue Shift (2001), and Decay (2001), developed by Gearbox Software. In 2004, Valve released Half-Life 2 to further success, with a new setting and characters and physics-based gameplay. It was followed by the extra level Lost Coast (2005) and the episodic sequels Episode One (2006) and Episode Two (2007). The first game in the Portal series, set in the same universe as Half-Life, was released in 2007. Over the following decade, numerous Half-Life games were canceled, including Episode Three, a version of Half-Life 3, and games developed by Junction Point Studios and Arkane Studios. In 2020, after years of speculation, Valve released its flagship virtual reality game, Half-Life: Alyx. Set before Half-Life 2, players control Freeman's ally Alyx Vance in her quest to defeat the alien Combine.

Portal is a series of first-person puzzle-platform video games developed by Valve. Set in the Half-Life universe, the two main games in the series, Portal (2007) and Portal 2 (2011), center on a woman, Chell, forced to undergo a series of tests within the Aperture Science Enrichment Center by a malicious artificial intelligence, GLaDOS, that controls the facility. Most of the tests involve using the "Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device" – the "portal gun" – that creates a human-sized wormhole-like connection between two flat surfaces. The player-character or objects in the game world may move through portals while conserving their momentum. This allows complex "flinging" maneuvers to be used to cross wide gaps or perform other feats to reach the exit for each test chamber. A number of other mechanics, such as lasers, light bridges, tractor funnels, and turrets, exist to aid or hinder the player's goal to reach the exit.

GlaDOS saying "Chell" is so weird. You never hear her say it at all in the games, and it's so strange to finally hear her name spoken out loud by any character in the game. Either way, great animation. Genuinely made me excited half way in for something that isn't even going to happen.

I fully expect valve to one day just be like "oh, we've been working on portal 3 for the past 10 years and it releases tomorrow" with absolutely no warning whatsoever.
That would be such a valve thing to do.

If a portal 3 does come out I feel it would be better if chell was left out of it. I feel her story had a nice ending and was all tided up at the end of portal 2. But very well made and I think an orange box style game would be best for a portal 3/ half life 3 combo game. Sense the universes are one and the same.

Brother, if I didn't know otherwise, I would assume this was real. This is so well made! It genuinely seems like a trailer that Valve would possibly make! Even the premise of the game - being some sort of HL3/P3 Crossover is so well done here!

love the trailer, the only problem with it is that GlaDOS' lines don't match up with the series itself. At the end of portal 2 she states that all along you were her "best friend" then she proceeds to say that the best solution is the easiest one, and killing Chell is hard. and tells her not to come back, so the only way i could see GlaDOS' lines making sense is if there was a bit more backstory on why she wants to kill her again.

Imagine if:

-Half-Life 3 is when they go to the Borealis to finally defeat the combines.
-Portal 3 is Glad0s's POV of the combines invading her place.

It sounded more structured in my mind, but oh well.

This is an amazing animation. I can already imagine the plot if this was a real game.

In this game you play as a combine soldier who is given the task to investigate a strange facility that has been detected near city 151. Upon exploring the facility you come across GLaDOS, who you decide to try and kill on your own, after she blocked your communication with the citadel. But when she decides to cast you into the facility, and are forced to complete all of the decommissioned puzzles to get back to the upper layers, something strange happens.

All of a sudden you begin having hallucinations that make you question your own self. When you finally make it to the upper layer, you have completely forgotten that you are a combine, and what your original goal was. Eventually instead of trying to kill GLaDOS, you decide your goal is to escape the facility, and find a new meaning to your life. However, to escape the facility, you must face the dilemma of wether to kill GLaDOS or not. As you realize who she, and you truly might be.
