Making a VIRUS for a Game Jam (and almost winning)

It's be more interesting, if the "viruses" were the real antivirus, and Dave was the virus. I'd love to see a HEXAGE-styled game ending screen where Dave says something like "Thank you for letting me destroy your PC".

a login screen would've been so perfect for a game like this. i remember having some windows 7 computer or whatever and it had that flower wallpaper. it would've been a perfect place to make a username and also have their password be used in virus speech

Words cannot express the level of anxiety and rage the shooting enemies have put me through, and I began to hate the page itself for making me select the game screen if I clicked too fast or having buttons that overlap the screen with either no or a hidden full-screen option... but cool game and concept. I did like making D.A.V.E. angry by selecting the wrong options, nice touch, and I ended up hearing every failure dialogue since I died so many times. Maybe it's actually not that hard and I'm just bad at that style of game. But all those times a storm of bullets were sent at me from seemingly nowhere... yeah, this was the first game in a very long time I've rage quit. Wish I could've seen the ending...

This blew me away with how cool yet simple it was. I was loving the development story along with the actually interesting gameplay concept. It's such an overused cliche, but it works so well. Bravo

I love the idea of every file being clickable. If I would make this I would’ve made it a puzzle/stress management game where you had to look in different files for passwords and text and stuff to fend off the virus.
I love the idea of the virus being in every file and you having to panic to defend your files

Crazy how you infected all those machines and got disqualified from 1st place only after the judges realized your game is actually malware

I played this for the first time and i have one comment, in the boss fight, by aligning yourself half decently where the boss is off screen, but when shot you can see the sparks, you can weaken it without any enimies attacking. This was a really good game. thank you.
