You teach better than my college professor, and you did this for free. Thank you so much.

I only have to do 2/3 of it, because I'm currently modeling a four string bass guitar. That technique you used to create the strings is going to make my workflow much less of a headache. Thank you for sharing this.

One tip I found whilst modelling a guitar in Maya, and using this video for reference - when creating the strings using a CV curve tool at 32:07, I found the default curve settings were creating some unwanted shapes when snapping the curve to my bridge and nut, and found changing the CV curve settings did the trick, which the video doesn't seem to show.
All I changed which worked for me was the '3 Cubic' setting to '1 Linear', which gave my curve the linearity it needed to create a string shape. Hope this helps :)

Thanks so much for posting. I'm using C4D, but just seeing your thought process is immensely helpful.

This tutorial is lovely. It's not too slow and it's not too fast... Just watching it gives me ideas and techniques on how to tackle modeling... I have been away from 3d modelling for a while... Please make more amazing tutorials like this (maybe some tutorials on tackling environment, character and hard surface modelling)... Thanks.

at about 31:45 I'm having trouble understanding. You say you deselected everything but the bridge and nut and hid everything, however, the coils are still visible. with that, are the coils live too? I can created a curve after making the bridge, nut and coils live, I can click all the way to the nut, but I can't click all the way to the curve to snaps the verts. I tried making the coils not live, and still can click the cv curve all the way to them. help please?

The video is good, but the audio and video don't match a lot of times, you skip lot's of parts in audio while doing it.
very helpful video though :)
