I bought a 90’s Sony HandyCam in 2021

I bought a boxed Sony HandyCam for £15 which I thought was an absolute bargain. It seemed to come with everything and look in fairly good condition. After plugging it in we discovered it worked perfectly! We decided to make a little 80's stlyed video but unfortunatly the battery doesnt last very long...

Great addition to your Gameboy collection, those are very much of the same generation. There is an aesthetic to that era of camcorder: the jerky motion and noisy recording, which cannot easily be duplicated today. It might be fun recording an intro in that format, similar to Adrian's Digital Basement. Love the channel and content, cheers!

The zoom quality on the Sony camcorders was awesome and would beat quite a few modern digital cameras by a long way, you need to find an elusive dvd camera next to compare the quality

My dad still has his 90s Sony Handycam which contains stuff from when he was younger and home movies from when I was a little kid. It cannot record anymore but you can still watch videos through it. So much nostalgia from this video alone

I have this exact camera from when my dad used it. It came with an actual infrared remote control you could use to play tapes or even to start/stop recording and control zoom.
